Dubai Beach Named One of the Best in the World

The famous JBR Beach was included in the top 10 best beaches in the world on the website beachatlas.com. The landmark has earned recognition as a destination that combines an urban atmosphere and a beach holiday, because the life of a noisy metropolis is in full swing not far from it.

JBR's aesthetics are also top-notch, with golden sand and clear waters, water sports and even camel rides along the beach.

Beachatlas also highlighted the vibrant promenade, The Walk, with its shops, restaurants and street entertainment. Its experts called it “the perfect place for those who love the beach but also seek the thrill of city life.”

Beach experts use six separate sets of criteria to compile their rankings. They look at the picture-postcard beauty of the beaches, as well as the development of the community centre and the mood of the people, and of course, the magnificent natural surroundings.

The ranking of the 10 best beaches in the world is as follows:

As previously reported, two new beaches will be built on the Yas Bay promenade on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, developer Miral said. Each beach will be 280 meters long, bringing the total length to 560 meters.

West Beach will be located on the west side of the pier and will be a family-friendly destination with beach playgrounds for children, world-class restaurants, walking paths, and recreational facilities.

The eastern beach, opposite the Etihad Arena, will feature open-air fitness centres and sports areas for beach soccer and volleyball. Relaxation areas and lounges will allow guests to enjoy sports, entertainment and music events.
